How to:

Place a layer of sand inside a heat-safe incense burner. Using metal tongs, ignite a charcoal disc according to the charcoal manufacturer’s directions. Allow the charcoal to become hot and develop a light ash coating.

Place one small Frankincense tear, or a small piece of a larger tear, onto the charcoal. Begin with a very small amount, as natural resin produces concentrated fragrance and smoke. Add more only if desired.

Frankincense may also be used with an electric resin warmer specifically designed for natural incense resins. Follow the warmer manufacturer’s instructions.
